What's the difference between Check-In Visits, Pet Sitting, and Signature Care?
Check-in Visits are a single visit each day, ideal for long workdays or pets who need less than a visit focused on walks.
Pet Sitting lets you choose 45-minute to 2-hour visits and mix and match them throughout the day while you're away.
Signature Care is our all-day package with extended visits spread across breakfast, midday, dinner, and evening visits, scheduled for you. With our time dedicated solely to tending to your pet's needs and enrichment, they are able to decompress and rest easy through the night from 10pm-6am and you don't have to pay someone to sleep!
How many visits does my pet need?
It depends on your pets and their routine. Most cats do well with one or two visits a day, while dogs usually need three or more for potty breaks, meals, and company. We'll help you choose at your consultation. For your pets' safety, we require at least one visit per day for the entire time you're away.
What if my travel plans change?
Let us know through the app as soon as you can. We'll do our best to extend visits if you're delayed, and if your return date changes, we'll adjust your schedule and invoice to match.
What happens if my pet gets sick or there's an emergency?
We'll contact you right away and follow the instructions and vet details in your pet's profile, including your veterinary authorization. Every Hooman is trained in pet first aid and CPR, and our managers are on call to help make decisions quickly if we can't reach you or your emergency contact quickly.
How should I prepare before I leave?
Make sure your pet's profile is up to date with feeding instructions, medications, vet info, and emergency contact, and home access details. Leave enough food, litter, and supplied for your whole trip, plus a few extra days in case of delays.
How far in advance should I book?
The sooner the better, since our schedule fills quickly. We recommend booking at least 2 weeks ahead, and 4 to 6 weeks ahead for holidays and summer travel.
