Since 2019, Hooman for Hire has set the standard for professional pet care in Anchorage and Eagle River. More than 750 pet families trust us with their pets and their homes, and we've been voted Best of Alaska Pet Service since 2023.
We operate as a true pet care company. Our Hoomans are employees, and every one completes a thorough onboarding program covering animal behavior, enrichment, and pet first aid, taught by certified instructors on our own team. Managers oversee every schedule, so care continues through sick days, holidays, and Alaska winters.

Our team-based model means care continues through sick days, vacations, and holidays. Another trained team member steps in, and your pet's profile, routine, and care notes are included in every visit.

Membership is free and activates automatically with two or more services a week for at least one month. Members enjoy reserved scheduling, member rates, priority holiday booking, and extra perks throughout the year.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. There are no long-term contracts. Membership simply reflects your recurring schedule, and you can adjust as your needs change.
How do you keep my home secure?
Your home access details are stored securely in your private client profile, and only the team members caring for your pets can see them during scheduled events. We recommend a lockbox to minimize the risks of handing off physical keys, and every visit is logged with arrival and departure times so you always know who was there, and when.
How are you different from pet sitting apps?
Apps connect you with independent sitters who each set their own standards and availability. Hooman for Hire is a locally owned pet care company. Every Hooman is our trained employee, held to the same standards and supported by managers who oversee every schedule.
